It is common for your preferences and decisions to change - we expect them to! You should look over your advance directives frequently and make the necessary changes as you need them. Remember, after you make any changes, you will still need to sign the document and get the necessary notarization or witnesses to sign the document. You should then get the revised documents to your medical decision-makers (and any other loved ones), your doctors, and your hospitals.
